Diversity of Land Snails Genus in Sukolilo Karst Area, District Grobogan and Pati, Central Java


ABSTRACT
Land snail is one of the animals that live in the karst area. This area contains high calcium carbonat. Only spesific living thing can live and adapt to this condition. Therefore it tends to have endemic biodiversity. One of these areas in Indonesia is Sukolilo Karst Area, District Grobogan and Pati, Central Java. This research used direct and indirect (soil and litter samples) method. The result has shown that the diversity index is medium with value 2.34. Genera composition of land snails between two districts are same, with value 0.73%. There are 25 genera from 17 families of land snails: Achatina, Parmarion, Landouria, Amphidromus, Alycaeus, Cyclotus, Cyclophorus, LAgochilus, Leptopoma, Elaphroconcha, Helicarion, Geophorus, Trochomorpha, Diplommatina, Coeuplecta, Liardetia, Microcystina, Charopa, Philalanka, Hydrocena, Prosopeas, Opeas, Gyliotrachela, Gastrocopta, and Pupisoma. All genera almost lives on all microhabitat i.e, on earth (H1), in topsoil (H2), dead leaves (H3), low vegetation (H5), banana leaves (H6), limestone rock with moss (H7),  limestone rock without moss (H7), and decayed wood (H9), except on tree (H4).

ABSTRAK
Keong darat merupakan salah satu hewan yang hidup di kawasan kars. Kawasan ini memiliki kandungan kalsium karbonat yang tinggi, dan hanya ditempati oleh makhluk hidup yang dapat bertahan pada kondisi tersebut, sehingga cenderung memiliki biodiversitas endemik. Salah satu kawasan kars yang terdapat di Indonesia adalah kawasan kars Sukolilo. Penelitan ini bertujuan untuk mengtahui keanekaragaman, komposisi, morfologi dan mikrohabitat genus keong darat di Kawasan Kars Sukolilo, Kabupaten Grobogan dan Kabupaten Pati. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode pengambilan langsung dan pengambilan tidak langsung (sampel tanah dan serasah). Hail penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai indeks keanekaragaman nya sedang yaitu sebesar 2,34. Komposisi genus keong darat antara dua kabupaten tergolong serupa dengan nilai kesamaannya 0,73%. Terdapat 25 genus dari 17 famili keong darat: Achatina, Parmarion, Landouria, Amphidromus, Alycaeus, Cyclotus, Cyclophorus, Lagochilus, Leptopoma, Elaphroconcha, Helicarion, Geophorus, Trochomorpha, Diplommatina, Coeuplecta, Liardetia, Microcystina, Charopa, Philalanka, Hydrocena, Prosopeas, Opeas, Gyliotrachela, Gastrocopta, dan Pupisoma. Semua genus hampir menempati semua mikrohaitat yaitu di permukaan tanah (H1), dalam tanah lapisan atas (H2), serasah  (H3), vegetasi rendah (H5), daun pisang (H6), batu berlumut (H7),  batu tidak berlumut (H7), dan kayu yang membusuk (H9), kecuali pada pohon(H4).

Aspidomorpha sanctaecrucis This is  Aspidomorpha sanctaecrucis , commonly known as Golden Tortoise Beetle.  It's similar in Bahasa, mostly Indonesia people called it as Kepik emas or Kumbang Kura-kura Emas (kepik/kumbang=beetle; Kura-kura; tortoise; emas=golden). Thrips (Gynaikothrips uzeli), Weeping Fig (Ficus benjamina) Pest, Hama Beringin

This is thrips, one of Weeping Fig ( Ficus Benjamina )   pest. It causes damage to the leaves. The leaves roll and curl, the outer part of the leaf (lower epidermis) shows black and yellow spots. Most of these insects live with their translucent white larvae and eggs on the inside of the leaves. But, some are laying eggs on the outside of the leaves (as in the picture). Ini adalah thrips, salah satu hama pada beringin ( Ficus Benjamina ) . Hama ini menyebabkan kerusakan pada daun. Daun menggulung dan keriting, bagian luar daun (epidermis bawah) terlihat bercak-bercak hitam dan menguning. Kebanyakan serangga ini tinggal bersama larva dan telurnya yang berwarna putih transulen pada bagian dalam daun. Water Clover, Semanggi, Semanggen (Marsilea minuta L.)

This is Water Clover ( Marsilea minuta L.). The local people (Sumedang, West Java; Sundanese) called it "Samanggen", but mostly Indonesian called it "Semanggi". At a glance, it looks like "Creeping Woodsorrel" ( Oxalis corniculata ), even their local names are also the same i.e semanggi. But, both are totally different. Water Clover ( Marsilea minuta L.) is an aquatic fern (Pteridophyta). Conversely, Creeping Woodsorrel ( Oxalis corniculata ) is a terrestrial seed plant (Spermatophyta). Additionally, Water Clover ( Marsilea minuta  L.) is also bigger than Creeping Woodsorrel ( Oxalis corniculata )  Ini adalah Semanggi Air ( Marsilea minuta  L.). Penduduk sekitar (Sumedang, Jawa Barat; Sunda) menyebutnya Semangen, tapi sebagian besar orang Indonesia menyebutnya "Semanggi". Sekilas, tumbuhan ini mirip dengan Semanggi/Daun Asam Kecil ( Oxalis corniculata ), bahkan nama lokanyapun sama Semanggi. Tapi, sebenarnya keduanya sangat berbeda. S
