Distribution
Tropical and subtropical Africa, this species has been introduced in almost all countries of tropical Asia (Jutiing, 1952). It's distributed by human (attached to container ship/luggage) and plants (egg). Its adaptability and high reproductive capacity make Achatina fulica exist in nature (Nurinsyiah, 2010).

It easily found anywhere particularly on the ground, grass, decayed wood/leaves
Nocturnal (active at night), but it's also can active after rain.

In several places, it treated as food such as chips, sate, etc. It also used as medicine particularly their mucus (heal wound).
Toxicity
Vector for Angiostrongylus cantonensis (harmful parasites, causing meningitis) (Nurinsyiah, 2010).
